Preparing to depart from Dog River Marina

We made it back to Dog River Marina In Mobile. Our plane landed last night at 10:30PM and the marina left us a truck to drive in the short term parking at the airport. From there straight to super Walmart at 11:30PM for provisions. Walmart was a real experience/adventure.... The place looked like 20,000 people ran thru the store and trashed it. There was merchandise everywhere in disarray. An hour and a half later, (after waiting 20 minutes to check out at the only cash register that was open he headed fot he marine. We unloaded at 1:30pm and littlerally crashed in bed. In the morning we were surprised to see how clean QC was. Obviously lots of rain fell last week and did much of the anticipated clean-up for us!

Here you can see QC is full of fuel but not fresh water (list to starboard). We will fill the Port water tank before we leave and she will level out.

The Hatteras to our right is For Sale, its a 58 footer with with big gas hog engines..

A view up the dock.

Viv is cleaning the flybridge seats to we can enjoy the wind tomorrow.

Preparing to install a new Hailer. New VHF radio already installed as well as a new shower sump switch in the master head. The marina is great, it has a West Marine store onsite.

Across the road is the Mobile Yacht Club where we enjoyed Crab Claws and Shrimp!

Before and after.

View from our table as the sun goes down behind us.

The Marina is full of boats.
